Two ways to build a trip
- Photos only — skip Timeline and use GPS + timestamps from your photos.
- Timeline + photos — richer route history from Google Maps, with photos hung on stops.
Timeline export tips (optional):
Android
- Open Google Maps
- Profile picture → Your timeline
- ⋮ menu → Location & privacy settings (wording varies)
- Export Timeline data → save

iPhone
- Open Google Maps (not Apple Maps)
- Profile → Your timeline
- Settings / privacy → Export Timeline data
- AirDrop or Files → copy
